CD6 is currently offering an optical engineer position, to work in the different R&D projects developed in the center in the research lines on visual optics and spectral imaging technology. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated candidates with solid background in optics, interested in R&D and aiming to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Tasks to be developed:
- Support to the design of experimental optical systems and preindustrial prototypes.
- Mounting, alignment, testing and characterization of the systems.
- Implementation of image and data processing algorithms.
- Development of optical simulation models.

Position description:
- Full/part time contract (negotiable).
- Workplace: Terrassa (Barcelona)
- Estimated start date: 01/10/2023 (flexible)
Requirements:
- BSc and/or MSc in Physics, Engineering or related disciplines.
- Solid background in optics.
- Experience in optical design. Use of design and simulation software (Zemax OpticStudio, ...).
- Programming skills in Matlab, Phyton, C++...
- Fluent spoken and written English.

Also valued:
- PhD in Optical Engineering, Photonics or related disciplines.
- Experience in optical engineering laboratory work.
- Experience in the integration of optomechanical systems.
