Tommaso Alterini awarded with 2018 SPIE Student Prize
The CD6 predoctoral researcher Tommaso Alterini has received the 2018 SPIE Student Prize for the most outstanding contribution in the color area. This scientifical contribution was presented at the XII Reunión Nacional de Óptica held in Castellón and granted by the SPIE (the international society for optics and photonics). The work presented is entitled "Hyperspectral retinoscope based on LEDs for obtaining fundus images in the visible and infrared" and was authored by: Tommaso Alterini, Fernando Díaz Doutón and Meritxell Vilaseca.Tommaso Alterini is developing his PhD thesis within the framework of the european project BE-OPTICAL (Advanced Biomedical Optical Imaging and Data Analysis), a Marie Curie Innovative Training Network of which CD6 is a member.
