Quality Assurance

CD6 designed its Quality System with several goals in mind:

To support strategic decision making
To allow the best use of the organization’s resources
To provide a professional intercourse with our customers

The base of this system is the Quality Policy, which includes the CD6 scope and vison, our objectives and our commitments.

The processes that build up the management system, are implemented in a intranet that facilitates the execution of several operations, allows gathering and access to a wide range of historical data and also allows for a broad set of indicators updated on daily basis.

The Quality System of the CD6 accounts since 2003, the specific CIDEM’s certification developed for the R+D centers of the Technological Innovation Network TECNIO and also, since 2006, the ISO9001:2000 certification.

The CD6’s Quality Policy defines its position as a research and development centre in the optical engineering field. The following points make up this quality policy:

1. We give our clients the greatest possible value. We want them to be satisfied and loyal.

2. We strictly comply with our confidentiality agreements. We want to earn our clients’ trust.

3. We aim to be leaders in our field of expertise and in the market of technology suppliers at both national and international levels.

4. We maintain a “world-class” level in our research activities. We wish to appear in indexed publications and at the major international conferences in our field.

5. Our entire staff is involved in and committed to achieving our goals. We want to create a secure working environment that encourages synergy and creativity and recognises individual contributions so that all team members can feel that they have played a part in our collective achievements.

6. We promote and recognise leadership skills. We measure people’s worth by the results they obtain and the opportunities they help create.

7. We try to maintain our ability to earn a profit. We aim to generate enough resources to ensure the Centre’s medium- and long-term viability, maintain the pace of investments in infrastructure and staff training, and contribute to financing the Technical University of Catalonia.

8. We are never satisfied with the status quo. We continuously strive to improve by listening to the opinions of our clients and employees in order to take advantage of new opportunities.

9. We adhere to the highest standards of honesty and integrity in all of our activities. We follow our personal ethical principles in our work.

10. We respect the environment. We want to contribute to global development in a way that respects international sustainability criteria and the environment.
