Development of an algorithm of luminous flux power for a dinamic photometric device with angular discretization capability. Application to isolux maps generation for public lighting systems
On March 22nd, José Fernández Dorado defended his doctoral thesis titled Development of an algorithm of luminous flux power for a dinamic photometric device with angular discretization capability. Application to isolux maps generation for public lighting systemsThe PhD thesis was directed by Professor Josep Arasa from CD6 (UPC) and Professor José Antonio Díaz Navas from Universidad de Granada.
Abstract:
This dissertation discusses the development of a luminous flux power propagation algorithm that allows a device to carry out photometric measurements over large areas such as those of public streetlighting systems.
The device detects the amount and direction of light at each measurement point. The algorithm, in conjunction with the proposed measurement strategy shows by means of the results that it is possible to measure dynamically. Aditionally, the characterization of the device and the experimental results are discussed and analyzed.
The presented thesis is supported by the public project grant POLUX funded by the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación of Spain. Furthermore, a patent has been granted in relation with this thesis. Finally, scientific results of this dissertation have been published in national and inetrnationals meetings.
