3D perception of automobiles and railway systems

On July 18th, Dr.  Christoph Stiller from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany) offers a seminar titled "3D perception of automobiles and railway systems"

Christoph Stiller is Professor at the Institute for Metrology and Control Engineering at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. He has completed his PhD in Electrical Engineering at Aachen University, Germany n 1994 and has spent a post-doctoral research year at INRS in Montreal, Canada. From 1995 to 2001 he was with the Advanced Development at Robert Bosch GmbH. His interests include visual  inspection, video sensing, and realtime applications thereof. In particular, his lab operates several vehicles that drive autonomously based on data analysis from onboard cameras and LIDAR scanners. He has published more than 150 articles and patents in this field. Dr. Stiller is coordinator of the research area 'Optical Systems' at Karlsruhe School of Optics and Photonics, President-Elect of the IEEE Intelligent  Transportation Systems Society and serves as Editor in Chief of the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine.
