Ophthalmic instrument based on the degradation of the corneal reflex for the evaluation of the tear film

The tear film is the first surface of the eye that is in contact with air. When its normal function is altered, the dry eye appears, a disease with a high prevalence, of up to 30%, and which today requires new instruments of diagnosis. CD6 has successfully completed the development of a new system for the diagnosis of the dry eye, based on the corneal reflex degradation, which has been validated in a clinical setting.
