The HYPAG project (Hyperspectral Imaging Technology for Precision Agriculture Applications) has been carried out within the framework of the 2019 call for grants for the “Excellence in Knowledge and Technology Transfer Program” of UPC. The project will be completed this September and has led to a list of results, including the following:

  • Filing of the European patent "Method, system and computer programs for the automatic counting of the number of insects in a trap" (EP20382241) in shared ownership with a leading company in the sector of the manufacture and distribution of phytosanitary products, with which an exploitation agreement has also been established.
  • Technological pre-diagnostics for various companies aimed at developing applications in the field of precision agriculture
  • Application and subsequent awarding of a grant under the INNOTEC 2019 call: "Intelligent photonics-based system for integrated pest management" (INTELFOT)
  • Application and subsequent awarding of the H2020 project “Integrated novel strategies for reducing the use and impact of pesticides, towards sustainable mediterranean vineyards and olive groves” (NOVATERRA), participating as a consortium partner.
  • Preliminary actions aimed at identifying and preparing new projects to be submitted in future calls (Supra-Autonomous Operational Groups, RETOS Colaboración, etc.)
  • Participation in different online seminars organized by EPIC, Secpho, etc.
  • Establishment and strengthening of collaborations with other research groups in the field of agriculture, exploring synergies and new lines of joint work.
