Development of an industrial system for recording diffraction-polarization gratings to be used in encoders using a fetosecond laser

ECOGRAB Project, under the funding program RETOS-Colaboración (RTC-2016-5277-5) and developed by Fagor Automation, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Centro de Estudios e Investigaciones Técnicas de Gipuzkoa (CEIT), Snelloptics and CD6 UPC, is focused on replace a manufacturing system for linear encoders that intensively uses chemical products through a cleaner and more efficient manufacturing system. For this, a manufacturing methodology based on femtosecond lasers has been developed, which is a technique free of chemical components and, therefore, more respectful with the environment. The main role of CD6 in this project includes actions that focus on the design and validation of the optical recording subsystem. Likewise, they also supervised the final assembly of the system developed in the project, so that they comply with the optimal specifications of the system.
