Conference "New trends in biomedical imaging and data analysis”

Gottingen, Germany, July 3-4, 2019.

http://beoptical.eu/Public/Final_conference/home.html

Biomedical imaging is an interdisciplinary research field that is producing ground breaking scientific discoveries that improve health care services and produce huge socio-economic impacts. The conference will bring together experts to discuss the most recent advances in a wide range of imaging technologies and signal processing tools, including fluorescence spectroscopy and microscopy, optical coherence tomography (OCT), optogenetics, engineered nanomaterials, time-series and image data analysis tools.
The conference will include invited talks, contributed talks and a poster session. The conference is organized by the Marie Curie Innovative Training Network Be-optical (beoptical.eu).

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): visualization and manipulation techniques for the analysis of cellular processes, high-resolution imaging techniques of cardiac tissue, new light sources and advanced instrumentation for ophthalmic imaging, and advanced techniques of time series and image analysis.

The conference will be held in Gottingen (Germany), which is a city with rich historic, cultural and gastronomic life. The venue of the conference is the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization (MPIDSO). There will be a symposium "50 Years of Excitable Media: From Theory to Applications" also at MPIDSO, immediately before the conference (the symposium will take place from June 30 to July 02, details can be found in the webpage https://emfta2019.excitablemedia.org).

Gottingen is connected by ICE (high speed train) to Frankfurt airport (FRA, approx. 2 hours) and to Hanover airport (HAJ, approx. 1 hour). Temperatures during july range from 20 to 25 degrees Celsius, with mostly sunny days.
