Augmented reality display system for motorcycle helmets

The RealHelmet project (Augmented Reality Display System for Motorcycle Helmet) focuses on the development of a HMD (head-mounted display) system capable of presenting information superimposed on the field of view of the motorcycle driver without compromising safety or driving comfort.

The system will consist of a display with an optical system and control electronics which processes the information and sends the images using a commercial application. This solution allows a significant advance compared to existing solutions, improving the quality of the presentation of information.

The project is developed as part of a consortium of companies Shiro Helmets (leader) SnellOptics, CETEM and CD6 UPC and has received funding from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness through the program RETOS Colaboración (RTC -2016-5125-4)
