FERTISAVE

FERTISAVE is a project of technological innovation using photonic technologies in the agriculture sector.

The FERTISAVE project is the first part of the development of a prototype sensor placed on a tractor to measure in real time the concentration of nitrates and phosphates in the soil in order to optimize the fertilizer application. The aim of developing a sensor of this type is twofold: to reduce the environmental impact of fertilizers and reduce costs.

This is an initiative in which SECPhO, CEIT, The Catalan Cluster of Agricultural Production Means (FEMAC) and CD6 (UPC) are involved.

This initiative has been funded by the program of support for Innovative Business Groupings of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism in its 2015 call.
