Current Concepts in Amblyopia: What We’ve Learned From 18 Years of the Amblyopia Treatment Studies

Amblyopia is responsible for more vision loss for people under age 45 than all other causes combined.  Unfortunately, good, evidence-based studies to address the efficacy of treatment modalities had not been reported in the literature until recently.  The Amblyopia Treatment Studies were developed to answer some of these management questions.  Developed through a collaborative effort of pediatric ophthalmologists and optometrists, the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigators Group (PEDIG), has completed 16 studies that are aimed at aiding the clinician in effectively managing this frequently encountered condition.
The conference, organized by DRC-UPC will be given by Dr. Richard from London Pacific University College of Optometry. More information about the speaker can be found in http://www.pacificu.edu/about-us/faculty/richard-london-ma-od
