Printing Electronics for Signal Applications (PRINTLED)

The consortium integrated by the company DSTA, the technology center CETEMMSA and CD6, obtained funding through the program INNPACTO of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness, to develop the project Printing Electronics for Signal Applications (PRINTLED). The project aims to advance the state of the art on the optical and electronic elements applicable to light signals in road infrastructure, is evolving in accordance to scheduled planning and the first results have been recently delivered. The project aimed at achieving greater energy efficiency and lower cost of production and operation has already led to the first prototypes of printed electronic components with excellent results. As planned, PRINTLED has focused on the Variable Message Panels (VMP) for their higher degree of complexity in terms of structure and dimensions, its manufacturing process and standards required.

The team is led by Dr. CD6 Josep Arasa.
