Collaboration with IOBA

The CD6 has collaborated with the Instituto de Oftalmobiología Aplicada (IOBA), Universidad de Valladolid in several studies for the development of new methods for measuring the ocular optical quality. Specifically, IOBA researchers Raúl Martín, José María Herreras and Victoria de Juan and those from CD6 Meritxell Vilaseca, Jaume Pujol and Mikel Aldaba have recently analyzed the impact on the ocular optical quality of corneal edema caused by contact lenses.

"This work could be a good example of the importance of collaboration between groups of different specialities in the field of physiological optics" said Aldaba, provided that "the IOBA group has clinical knowledge and brings needs that we ignore and CD6 contributes with its knowledge in ocular optical quality mesurement techniques to be used in this particular problem."
